justinbantigue asked: Hey man, I came across your page and really took notice on how you viewed success, views on college, etc. Recently, I attended a seminar and our speaker was the CEO of a huge company, and it really changed everything. Mindset, attitude, goals, just everything. I'm pretty sure you went through the same thing, and I look up to you man! I agree, it's amazing that these ordinary men can make top money and still have time for leisure. My question is: Any tips or pointers for newbiez? haha alright PEA
What’s up sir! This reply is long overdue! I apologize haha. But yes, a year and a half ago @ the age of 19, my life completely turned 180 degrees. I met super successful people and little did I know, found out that they were going to be my mentors. Introduced me to personal development, wealth building, success principles, and all that good stuff. Things college would NEVER EVER teach to students. And now I’m learning from this best, and at the age of 20, it’s ultimately a dream come true to be able to work with and associate with people worth 7-10 figures. And not the snobby wealthy people, but the ones who are willing to go out their way and pretty much coach people step by step on how they did it. It’s a blessing brotha. I remember when I was almost duped into the advice of “going to school, getting good grades, and getting a j.o.b.” It makes me sick just thinking of that lol. Not here to bash on formal education though. It’s just that I don’t wanna go to school for 4-6 years, invest my time, energy, and money to get a degree aka a receipt of all the debt you got yourself into, then finding a job where someone pretty much stamps on your forehead how much you’re worth and you become their slave. Nope, not the plan for me. And my top 5 pointers:
1) Have a strong why. And it can’t be “OH SO I CAN MAKE SO MUCH MUNEYZ!” No, money won’t keep you in the game long enough. Bro, if you’re why is strong enough, you’ll be able to overcome ANY fear/obstacle/setback/etc. My mentors told me, “if your why won’t make you cry, it ain’t strong enough.” Your why must be bigger than any fear/obstacle/setback you’ll come across. You think someone rejecting me, talking crap about me and what I do, doubting me, etc. will stop me from retiring my parents? Stop me from being able to travel the world? Stop me from being able to wake up when I want, do whatever I want, at any time I want? Stop me from being able to help my church/youth ministry/charities out? Nope, I don’t think so.
2) Mimic you mentors. Eat what they eat, read what they read, talk how they talk, dress how they dress, etc. Of course it’ll get to the point that you can put your style into it, but they say “do what successful people do, and you will get what they get.” Also, you are a product of your environment. Try to surround yourself in a positive environment, with positive/successful people as much as possible.
3) KEEP GROWING. My mentors always tell me, “if you’re not growing, you’re dying.” Read the books, listen to the audios, attend trainings/seminars. BE A SPONGE! Your income will be directly tied to how much you grow as a person. So the more you grow into a more wiser and better person, your income WILL grow.
4) FREAKING FAIL! FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL! AND LOVE IT! When you learn how to love failure, you’ll be set. Accept failure and learn from it. Fail yourself to the top. The difference between successful people and average people: successful people just fail more than average people do.
5) Don’t be bullied. EVER. It’s either you are the one being bullied, or you are the bully. Take control of your life; don’t let anyone’s negative opinions about you stop you from achieving your why. People with jobs get bullied. They get told how much they’re worth (“oh, I think you would be worth about $10.25/hr” *STAMP ON FOREHEAD*), when to have potty/lunch breaks, how many sick days they can have, begging your boss for a raise/promotion etc. I don’t want to live that lifestyle. I’m not here to bash on jobs too. Jobs are a nice tool to start, but being there for a long time will eventually lead you into the ‘rat race’ (getting up, working 9-5, get paid, pay bills, recycle). Dude, that concept scares the crap out of me lol. Imagine doing that for 40-60 years… disgusting! But as an entrepreneur, one must be aggressive, put their head down, don’t buy into anyone’s opinions, and have a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude.
There are more basics, but these are my top 5. Success is simple! Don’t try to re-invent the wheel! Also, if you are a believer, make God priority. Dude, God does amazing things. Have Him in the forefront of your mind in ANYTHING you do. I’ve seen Him do some amazing things to a lot of people, including myself. I’m not here to preach, but bro, He completely changed my life and I do everything for the glory of God. Gotta stay humble and grounded throughout your journey bro. Don’t make money change you into a person you don’t want to become.
Hit me up on Facebook if anything. I would love to connect with you more! God bless!
